Hey All,

So yes, this project in this form is technically new, but Highly Evolved Human and Nick Ross have been getting attention for quite a bit… So here’s a few look backs to some of the talk he’s gotten:

May 13, 2010 – The Brooklyn Paper covers Nick’s performance at Park Slope’s Southpaw venue during this year’s American Cancer Society’s Comedy for Cancer event.

July 29, 2009 – Newsweek article about 2009′s “Comedy for Cancer,” the Brooklyn fundraising event, featuring our very own stand-up comedian and Hodgkin’s lymphoma survivor Nick Ross.

I invite you all to participate in the Highly Evolved Human project. We are committed, through this unique documentary/narrative hybrid, to take a step past simple ‘awareness’ – to give people an ease in talking about cancer. Through my story, we’ll tap into the reality that 1 in 3 people are going to get diagnosed with some form of Cancer in their lifetime, and we should have confidence in approaching the conversation. Oh yeah. Did I mention it’s hilarious?

Over the next few months, we’ll keep you updated on the steps we take towards reaching our goal. Hope you stay tuned.
