 The wildly popular Twilight Saga hits the top of the Variety charts for the most impressions of it’s official online film trailer of ‘Eclipse,’ in theaters June 30. How did they do it?  The official launch of the Kinect for Xbox, originally unveiled as “Project Natal,” enjoyed an exclusive 45-minute performance by Cirque de Soleil at the University of Southern California’s Galen Center last night. The performers gave life to a demonstration of controller-free gaming, creating scenery reminiscent of the 2009 movie Avatar, with a team of 76 artists and 200 technicians.  Whether you love it or hate it, the “Like” button has infiltrated websites and blogs everywhere. Yesterday, Mashable released a TypePad report indicating a 50% increase in referral traffic, following the April launch of Facebook’s universal “Like” button. In fact, Facebook brings our Moped blog the highest numbers in referral traffic. The greatest appeal for site owners is the ability for Facebook-connected users to “Like” a fan page without navigating off of the site. The result? Widespread brand intersection with Facebook and the individuals and businesses behind the fan pages.

 Apple introduces iAd, a new mobile advertising platform to compete with Google’s recently sealed acquisition of AdMob. Already claiming over $60 million dollars in commitments for this year, iAd will allow users to interact with the ads without leaving their app. AdMob is currently the leading mobile advertising system, displaying advertisements dropped into iPhone and Android applications – and so the battle begins.

 Adidas Originals partners with Lucasfilm and the 2010 FIFA World Cup for their 2010 Originals ad campaign, with the film ‘The Street Where Originality Lives’ to launch on TV on June 12th. This short video preview imagines the five minutes before the World Cup game kick-off in this entertaining remake of the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine scene. Adidas ties the artists and celebrities who love wearing the brand into this famous scene, including David Beckham, Franz Beckenbauer, Snoop Dogg, Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown, Ciara, Jay Baruchel, Daft Punk and DJ Neil Armstrong:
