The hardest part about leaving Monterey, California is… well, leaving. I say this, in part, because the calm bay breeze and the snoozing sea lions just couldn’t be more beautiful. But also, in part, because our puddle jumper connecting us to JFK via LAX was delayed, and then delayed again. Flights were switched, new flights were delayed, and we just couldn’t make a connection for the life of us. An overnight at SFO and 180 minutes of sleep later, I hope my mid-air ramblings are somewhat sensible.

The privately owned (Red) organization recently launched an ad campaign to spread the word about this AIDS relief documentary, executive produced by Spike Jonze and produced by Anonymous Content and (Red). Watch for the debut tonight, May 24, on HBO and YouTube.

As you may already know, we do a lot of work with charitable organizations. Together, we’ve become familiar with the growing number of ways charities can use social media and user-provided-content sites to get the most out of their visual messaging.

Over some really amazing butternut squash soup, I was relaying to a good editor/director/producer friend, Morgan Nichols, my challenge of wanting to do a lot, all the time, and immediately. But I want everything to be perfect. So I tweak. And I edit. And I perfect. And nothing gets finished. I become my own bottleneck.
