Contemporary Painter Sahba Shere

Contemporary Painter Sahba Shere

The Project

San Francisco Bay-area contemporary painter Sahba Shere has built a career out of her passion for color, texture and travel, and provides an inspiring lens for women, girls and artists around the world. With over 13k Facebook fans and 47.8k Instagram followers, video was the next step in elevating Sahba's profile among her peers and globally among her collectors. Her work has been featured at Google in New York, Mountain View and San Francisco, Cisco Headquarters, the former Bank of America building in New York and more. She is the host of the Sahba Salon Series.

The Work

We developed a series of video assets that Sahba could use as part of a media kit, as well as across all her social media platforms, in both short and mini-short video format. We spent time in Sahba's studio to gain a better understanding of her artist philosophy so we could produce a documentary style profile video that reflected the heart and soul of her work. We also conducted field research to help curate synchronistic relationship-building and create added exposure for her pieces.

The Results

  • We delivered the video in long and short-excerpt form with a series of handles and social media language, tweets based on excerpts from the video, and LinkedIn / Instagram images to link back to her video on Facebook.
  • Sabha's video was viewed on Facebook over 1200 times in the first month of posting, and has become a powerful messaging tool to introduce her work to new art fans and to further establish a relationship with her current fanbase and collectors.
  • The video supports the promotion of her Sahba Salon Series which features other women, artists and social impact entrepreneurs across all fields.
  • For our next production, we might just offer a barter arrangement so we can hang one of her breathtaking works in our own space. We haven't run that idea by her yet.
